In The Kitchen

Kitchens are a common area in any home. Everyone has their own thing going on, and their own area of the house. The kitchen however is the one area people all use, why not make it comfortable and functional?

In the beginning refrigerators were plain and boring. Today, they come in all sizes, colors, and designs. There are smaller ones to put into a break room or office. These fit underneath desks so they can be tucked away. Whatever your color scheme, you can find a refrigerator. Today, you can even decide what style you like. There’s the traditional style with the small freezer on top. Then there are the ones with the fridge and freezer side by side. This is good if you have more frozen food than what would fit in first freezer, however, it cuts the fridge space almost in half. There are also refrigerators that have a pull out drawer on the bottom which is the freezer. These have a fridge that is twice the width as a normal fridge which is perfect for large cakes, party platters, etc. that will not fit in any other fridge.

The next appliance in the kitchen is the stove. These come in different colors, and three styles. First off there is the gas stove. These are normally in older homes, and if you have one, you will need an account with the gas company. Many people have the next style which is the electric stove. This is convenient because with the gas stove there is another bill you need to pay, whereas the electric stove runs off of your already existing electric bill. The only other type of stove is a flat top stove, which is part of the counter.

The oven is what is used to bake pizzas, pies, cookies, etc. It is found either underneath the stove, or in the wall. Either way, there is really no difference in the styles of these appliances. The only thing that really makes ovens stand out is color. The most popular is stainless steel.

Most homes have microwave ovens, which isn’t always necessary. This is a counter top appliance, which is used to cook food faster than a regular oven. This is really convenient if you are in a hurry, however the food does not taste as good this way. Microwaves can be found in many different colors, the most common are stainless steel, black, white, and red.

Another item most homes have is a type of coffee maker. These are used a lot in the mornings to make coffee before work. There are the traditional coffee makes which make normal coffee, and there are the kind that makes cappuccinos and espressos. This item is essential to families that need their coffee in the morning, however not everyone drinks coffee.

Besides these common appliances, you may also find a crock pot, a counter top grill, a waffle iron, a toaster, vacuum sealer, and a toaster oven.
